Welcome to Quarter Nursery.
We are a small nursery which provides a friendly, flexible service, set in a semi-rural village in the outskirts of Hamilton.
The nursery is non-denominational and we respect and welcome children and families of all religions, faith and beliefs.
We provide high quality early learning and childcare for 22 children aged 3-5years. We aim to work as a dedicated team, implementing the principles of ‘Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC), ‘Building The Ambition’, ‘Together We Can and We Will’ and ‘Curriculum For Excellence’ (CFE) into our practice to create an enabling learning environment. Our dedicated team provides children with space, resources and support to take forward their interests and learning.
During the nursery session children are encouraged to make choices and move freely between all spaces to engage in their learning. The children have daily opportunities for physical experiences indoors, outdoors and within our school gym hall. We don’t stop there, we work closely with the school to ensure childrens transition is a smooth one.
9am-3pm
Monday-Friday- (Term Time)
Lunch 11:30am-12:00pm
The staff and children worked together to develop the outdoor area. The children have ownership of their own learning with free choice of areas and resources within the garden that cover early level curriculum for excellence. The staff facilitate the children's learning by asking open-ended questions and following their interests.
